Sous Chef, with an eye to the next step

Our experienced team is seeking a Sous Chef and collaborator that is ready to put his or her personal stamp on our kitchen. We are a craft kitchen that changes menus with the seasons. We are looking for a Sous Chef that enjoys the art of cooking, is proud of the food that is served to our guests, and enjoys the team effort required to come up with creative and new menu ideas and themed dinners.

Our Executive Chef is deeply committed to developing the expertise and knowledge of our culinary team and our entire management team will work with you to understand and support you in your professional goals. 

In conjunction with the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef will be responsible for:

  • All aspects of food preparation and execution.

  • Preparation and maintenance of the highest quality food production

  • Provide guidance and motivation to kitchen staff.

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate the staff.

  • Good listening, critical and analytical skills.

  • Work in a high-volume kitchen.

  • Demonstrate effective management and expertise to achieve stated objectives in food costs, menu design, and implementation.

  • Coordinate menu planning and food purchasing with the Executive Chef

  • Educate, train and coach the food service staff to achieve stated objectives.

  • Maintain a clean and neat work environment and appearance at all times.
